West Limerick, the gateway to Kerry, offers an abundance of attractions and activities for tourists. Perhaps the most famous attraction them all is the quaint village of Adare. West Limerick also has much to offer the avid golfer with an 18-hole course in Newcastlewest and a 9-hole course in Abbeyfeale. Adare, meanwhile, two 18-hole courses; The Adare Golf Club (hosts of the 2007 & 2008 Irish Open) and the famed Adare Manor Golf Club (hosts of the 2010 JP McManus Pro Am).
